I understand the convenience of owning a newer home and there have been times over the years when I thought a new house was practical, cost effective and an obvious route to take. However, I always wound up with a Victorian, a farmhouse or selling one 1800’s cape only to buy another 1800’s cape. Once bought, I then began the process of turning the house into my own while maintaining the integrity of the original structure. It’s was an easy segue from renovations to real estate sales," she says. In addition to her sales work with Town & Country, Realtors, Susan’s tile business, Animal Tile Works, is an ongoing venture. More than 80 stores nationwide carry her designs, and they can be seen on her website, www.animaltileworks.com. Among other venues, Susan’s tiles were featured on the PBS hit "This Old House", in "House Beautiful," and in Home Depot’s 1-2-3 Tiling book. "Because I’ve been involved in the tile business for so long, I have developed a special interest in kitchens and bathrooms. My real estate practice allows me to share my design ideas and expertise with my clients," she says. Susan works with both buyers and sellers.
